A video been posted to YouTube by Streetcap1 shows, an odd shape in the background which UFO hunters have called craft-like.
"This UFO was found in an old Apollo 15 image during their moon walk", Scott C Waring, editor of UFO Sightings Daily, said.
The UFO has two wings that bend downward.
"A perfectly balanced ship on both sides and its centre is directly aimed at the astronauts walking on the moon. Watching them - awesome discovery."
Sceptics will need more convincing, however, than the image alone. They claim it could have been anything from, a smudge on the lens to a lens flare.
